Alternative Consultation, Counseling and Training (A.C.C.T.) is becoming The Foundation for Learning and Inspiring Health and Healing (FLIHH)! Realizing a dream to continually strive to achieve the highest standards in behavioral health care, training and consultation, founder, Sheri Damon, LMHC, has expanded her therapy and training practice. FLIHH will create a destination where services for women, children & adolescents, employers and employees, counselors and families, through mind, body and spirit can learn strategies to promote wellness or recover from illness in an environment that aligns with our values to be more in sync with nature, our planet, what impacts our bodies, what fosters growth and contentment. We exist to create an opportunity for effective therapies, experiential learning, connection, resilience and positive focus to come together.
FLIHH provides a range of services to adults, adolescents and families, as well as businesses, schools, and treatment facilities. FLIHH’s goal is to enhance, strengthen and/or provide alternatives in advancing mental wellness through:

- Retreats and workshops
- Professional development

- Women can resolve issues with eating, body image, anxiety and depression.
FLIHH (formerly ACCT) is led by Sheri Damon, LMHC.
Sheri Damon is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who possesses a background of over 28 years of experience working with women, children, families and has consulted or trained in a number of professional arenas. Her experience in a wide variety of treatment settings enables her to work with a large number of people with eating disorders, an extremely varied population with technology addiction and issues with healthy technology use, women experiencing distress with child rearing/child behavior difficulties, relationship issues and caretaking stressors. Sheri has presented “Power to Disconnect” at parent events, schools and professional organizations. With a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and Ph.D. level training from Northeastern University combined with psychodynamic approaches acquired in receiving a B.A. at Clark University, Sheri possesses a unique perspective for working with people across the lifespan. All these experiences have inspired creative interventions, a cognitive-behavioral, “mind and body” approach to therapy, and attention to the numerous intervening life factors in healing.
Sheri has had a great deal of success helping patients make progress in developing and maintaining healthy relationships with technology, Eating Disorder recovery, developing behavioral intervention plans, decreasing symptoms of anxiety and depression and using cognitive, behavioral and mind-body skills and techniques to begin to regain their health.
Sheri is part of the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association and the South Shore Coalition of Independent Therapists and maintains a strong working relationship with a number of professionals, local schools and a variety of state agencies. Sheri is also a Children and Youth Director at a local church that runs a non-denominational youth group where a tremendous amount of community service enriches her own and the youth members’ lives significantly.
FLIHH’s Mission: Founded out of 15 years of work and experience through Alternative Consultation, Counseling and Training, the Foundation for Learning & Inspiring Health & Healing was formed to create a destination where each client through mind, body and spirit can learn strategies to promote wellness or recover from illness in an environment that aligns with our values to be more in sync with nature, our planet, what impacts our bodies, what fosters growth and contentment.
